چکیده
The development and life history parameters of Neoseiulus agrestis feeding on the storage mite, Thyreophagus sp., were studied at three different temperatures 20, 25, 30 °C. results show that juvenile oviposition period as well reproductive potential this predatory mite are significantly affected by temperature. times immature expectancy adults ranged from 11.36 to 6.06 days 58.71 38.65 days, respectively, depending average total number eggs laid per female 20 °C (27.21), 25 (46.38), (61.12) differed each other. highest net rate (R0) was 51.95 (offspring/individual) °C, although there no significant difference obtained (37.10). Furthermore, intrinsic increase (rm) is 0.286 day-1 Moreover, finite (λ = 1.331 day-1) shortest mean generation time (T 13.786 days) doubling (DT 2.418 also determined Our indicate N. successfully completed can survive reproduce all tested. However, a biological traits predator temperature food source. Finally, seems be more suitable for mass rearing sp. Further studies should carried out determine characteristics cycle various important pests such spider mites, whiteflies thrips.

Allergological characterisation of the storage mite Acarus gracilis (Acari: Acaridae).
BACKGROUND Storage mites of the genus Acarus can be responsible for allergic sensitisation in domestic environments. Acarus gracilis is a frequent species in some geographical regions of the Iberian Peninsula. Since the allergenicity of this mite has not been described before, the objectives of this study were to characterise it immunologically, and to compare it with the closely related and mo...

The predatory mite, Neoseiulus californicus (McGregor, 1954) (Acari: Phytoseiidae) is one of the principal natural enemies of tetranychid mites in several countries, promoting efficient control of those mites in several food and ornamental crops. Pest attacks such as that of the spider mite, Tetranychus urticae Koch, 1836 (Acari: Tetranychidae), is one of the problems faced by farmers, especial...

The old world date mite, Oligonychus afrasiaticus (McGregor) (Acari: Tetranychidae) is a severe spider mite pest of date palm in most of the Middle East and North Africa. Considering that nothing is known about the performance of phytoseiid predators against O. afrasiaticus, biology, predation, and life table parameters of Cydnoseius negevi (Swirski and Amitai) and Neoseiulus barkeri Hughes (Ac...
متن کاملSpectrum-specific UV egg damage and dispersal responses in the phytoseiid predatory mite Neoseiulus californicus (Acari: Phytoseiidae).
Solar ultraviolet-B (UVB) radiation is deleterious to plant-dwelling mites. Neoseiulus californicus (McGregor) is a predominant predator of agriculturally important pest species of spider mite. However, phytoseiid mites are more vulnerable to UVB radiation than spider mites. Thus, the UVB radiation may influence decision making in foraging phytoseiid mites whether disperse or not. We tested the...
متن کاملTwo new species of the genus Neoseiulus Hughes (Acari: Phytoseiidae) from greece with re-description of Neoseiulus leucophaeus (Athias-Henriot).
Two new species, Neoseiulus elisiensis n. sp. and Neoseiulus neomarginatus n. sp., are described from Greece. Neoseiulus leucophaeus (Athias-Henriot) is re-described and illustrated based on specimens collected on Thymelaea hirsuta (L.) Endl. A key to all species of the genus Neoseiulus Hughes reported from Greece is provided.
